Privacy Policy for Tafid

At TafidHub, accessible from, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by Tafid and how we use it.

This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in Tafid. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.

The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.

When you register for an Account, we may ask for your contact information, including items such as name, company name, address, email address, and telephone number.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

  • Develop new products, services, features, and functionality

Log Files

Tafid follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, Tafid uses ‘cookies’. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.

You may consult this list to find the Privacy Policy for each of the advertising partners of Tafid.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Tafid, which are sent directly to users’ browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.

Note that Tafid has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

Third Party Privacy Policies

Tafid’s Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt-out of certain options.

You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options. To know more detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers, it can be found at the browsers’ respective websites.

Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers have the right to:

Children’s Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

Tafid does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records

User Agreement

Important Notice:

This User Agreement (“Agreement”) document contains crucial information about your legal rights, obligations and remedies. Clicking accept “Terms and Conditions” means granting your consent to be in agreement with the information therein in this document and is legally binding between you (“you” or “User”) and Tafid Global Services Limited. (“Tafid,” “we”, or “us”), Tafid Global Services Limited governing your use of Tafid’s Site, Market Hub, Tafid Andriod APP, Tafid Apple App and Site Services (collectively, “Services”).You understand that by using the Tafid Site, APP or Site Services you agree to be bound by all agreements which constitute Tafid’s Terms of Use, and you agree that the “Terms of Use” refers to all agreement notice issued by Tafid and stated here but not limited to its content. This includes all Agreement, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and this User Agreement, including all that applies to claims brought against Tafid in Nigeria. This Agreement also incorporates, for any User using the Tafid Direct Contract Service. Kindly read all our terms and policies thoroughly because your agreement to them means that you to abide to all stated therein in the agreements and Terms of Use.

The use our Job marketplace, APP, site, market Hub, or any of our services (which we refer to as Services), whether just by viewing through or by registering an account, is only allowed after you read and agree to this Agreement (including the dispute resolution and return policy). If you do not understand this Agreement or you disagree to all of its terms and conditions, you may not use our Services. If you do not understand or agree to this Agreement, do not tick the check box that indicates you have read and agree to our Terms & Conditions. Do not click “SIGN UP NOW”, do not visit, do not visit, do not use our mobile applications and do not use our Services until you have read and acknowledged your acceptance. 

To use our Services on behalf of a corporate organization or legal entity, you must have the authority to agree to the Terms of Service on behalf of that business, organization or legal entity.

These rules are our Terms of Use. They apply to, and all the websites and apps we own or run. (And by we, we mean Tafid and our affiliates, which we may also refer to as us).

These terms explain our expectations on how you should behave when making use of Tafid – this applies to registered users and unregistered site visitors on our site.

1. Information on licenses and third-party content
1.1 You have access to our site, services and mobile applications
Our site is open to the use of the general public for personal and business user groups. This is what we mean.
Your access to our site and services is free but legally binding to our “Terms of Service”.
You will be able to access our sites and mobile applications only if you agree to our “Terms of Service”. We can withdraw your continuous access to our site and services at any time without prior notice. We are committed to ensuring our site and mobile applications are working as they should in a safe manner.
1.2 Your access to use our site and mobile applications can be revoked without notice
We take our terms of service at the heart of what we do and will sanction all violations to our terms of service immediately.
Our Terms of Use or other parts of our Terms of Service, once violated will take away your total access to Tafid. If this happens, you will be informed and all your access license will be revoked immediately. You will be denied access to our sites and mobile applications.
1.3 TAFID Intellectual property are all rights reserved
We do not give you the right to make use of our trademarks, intellectual contents, logos and names. Our trademarks are registered under defined jurisdictions.
Other contents you see on and may be trademarked by other users.
1.4 We allow you to share your content with the world using Tafid
1.4.1 We will not be held responsible for contents posted by You
You will be held accountable for every content posted on our site during the period of your usage.
Every time you make a post or submit content to be posted for you, you agree to the below:
• That the content is not an intellectual property theft.
• The content is safe.
• Will not cause legal infringements to anyone’s right.
• It is your owned content that you reserve the right to post.
You will be charged indemnification (this means compensation for harm or loss caused to Tafid because of what you posted). If we become entangled in legal cases because of contents posted by you, this serves as an agreement that you will pay for all costs incurred during such a situation. This includes all cost resulting from government Our Legal team will take this up with you if it occurs.
1.4.2 All Users have rights to what you post
All users of,, our mobile applications and our services, have rights to content posted by other users. We have the right to share for example, the user profile of freelancers for possible best match to clients.
We have the right to edit, share and publish your content all over the world. You agree by posting your contents on our site, that these contents are not subject to royalties even if your name, photo of you, custom image appears in them. Your content maybe used for advertisements purpose without compensations or reward.
All users have the right to copy and share posts and contents of other users freely.
1.4.3 We support open and honest feedback process
Continuous improvement is the growth engine of our business, we encourage you to share ideas and feedback on how Tafid services can be improved.
You can send comments and ideas for free. By submitting your unsolicited improvement ideas to us, you agree that they are free and will not request for reward or payments if we choose to implement them. We have the right to edit, change and share these ideas with our business partners and clients without consultation with you.
1.5 Third Party on Tafid
Every post on, and our mobile applications, represent the views of the user who posted them and not Tafid.
Our site may share links to third party sites through ad placements slots. Tafid does not in any way endorse these sites, products and services offered by them.
1.6 You can send us a copyright complaint if your rights are infringed
If you discover your intellectual property is posted on our site without your consent, kindly write to us to have it removed.
We will not be liable to any legal sanctions.
1.7 Tafid does not Manufacture Materials
We do not manufacture materials e.g., Electrical materials, automobile materials etc. And any other material not listed here.
Our users (with employer accounts) are expected to purchase materials via Tafid market hub or any other third-party source.
The choice of material brand and specification is solely at the discretion of the user. We will not be held accountable for any material damage during or after job completion.
2. Allowed Activities on Tafid and Tafid Hub
Our site and services are made strictly for business purpose. The business means the platform we have created to enable freelancers and employers (users) to connect with each other, develop respectful working relationships, and make and receive payments for only jobs delivered.
Our Tafid Market Hub is an ecommerce site where only approved products which will be useful to our Tafid users can be posted.
3. This section states user behaviours that are not allowed on our site and mobile applications
3.1 Posting of intolerable content
Posting, sharing or search for the following contents are prohibited:
• illegal and malicious content intended to cause harm to Tafid, Tafid Users, and third-party partners.
• Annoying content intended to provoke and demine others (this included people is legally protected groups)
• Sexual content, sexually related services, sex trafficking or related hookup services
• Contents that misled or manipulation under aged persons (persons below 18 years old)
• Contents that promote child labour
• Intellectual property owned by others without their authorization
• Contents that breach our Terms of Service, another website’s or business’s terms of service, or related contract
• Post and claim to jobs that were not done by you
• Posting of false contents with the purpose to gain unearned reviews
• Reviews not received from a verified user of Tafid who have done business with you using our site and mobile applications
3.2 Fraudulent behaviours
False personal information and false professional competence.
These include by not limited to:
• Falsification of name, location, professional information etc.
• Identity theft and impersonation.
• Creation of duplicate accounts with misleading information.
• Using of false profile photo that is not your picture.
• Impersonation of Tafid staff, Tafid authorized business partners
• False claim of affiliation to other users, Tafid or third-party agencies. This includes claim to past or inactive business relationship that is no longer in good terms.
• Transfer of account or sharing of accounts, referring jobs seen on our site to freelancers who are not registered with Tafid with the intention of securing the job without Tafid’s involvement. This includes false claim of competence and the use of other freelancers to execute jobs for which you were hired to do with the intention of making profit.
• We take fraudulent actions relating to payment very seriously. Therefore, Freelancers are prohibited from falsely making claims of payment when job has not been completed.
• In the case of daily rated payment milestones, Freelancer must satisfy agreed daily work milestone before job will be completed.
• Demand for additional charges and payments not communicated or agreed with client before work commencement.
• Requesting for payment when job was not completed due to unforeseen situations beyond the Freelancers control for example, illness, bereavement, accident during transit to work and other situations not listed here. In such a situation Tafid has the right to automatically assign another Freelancer to the job with immediate effect.

3.3 Treating others unfairly
Tafid stands for equal and fair treatment of all users and partners.
You cannot use Tafid to do the following:
• Display of prejudice against other users
• TO stir up unrest or cause unsafe conditions to other users
• Share private confidential information about anyone
• contacting people, you connected with on Upwork outside of Upwork without their permission
• Posting fake jobs
• Sending fake proposals
• Biding for jobs for which you do not have the competence to execute
• make or demand bribes or payments for anything other than the work
• ask for free work
• post skills competition or challenge with the intent of brand publicity
• ask freelancers to pay for proposal submission
• peer to peer networking and payment system
3.4 Misuse of our feedback channel
We appreciate honest and fair feedback.

We expect all users to make use of our feedback channel with a sense of equity and fairness.
What does this mean?
• Bully other users to give you forced positive feedback and ratings
• Paying or offering free service to gain positive feedback in return
• Falsely giving other users negative feedback with the intent of ruining their credibility and eligibility to get hired
• Use of Tafid site and mobile application to get workforce for religious or political campaigns

3.5 These are not allowed on our site
The following uses are prohibited:
• Selling or renting of your account to another user
• You cannot have multiple accounts
• You cannot share phone numbers, email, social media handles on our chat box without first agreeing on a service contract on Tafid platform. (Exceptions are reserved for Enterprise users)
• You can not run marketing, publicity and advertising via your job posts or proposal submission.
• You can not steal our information or copy our business model with due authorization.
• You can not create fake account of our users on similar site.
• You can not access the information of our users into similar site or networks with the intend to mislead users.
• Giving of money to freelancers to purchase materials is prohibited. You can visit our market hub to procure materials from verified vendors or purchase your materials by yourself from other third-parties. Tafid will not be held accountable to any issues that arise from giving money directly to Freelancers for payment or purchase of materials to do your job.

4. Terms of use execution
4.1 All users should drive compliance to our terms of use
We expect you to own our terms of use.
We have the right to suspend or close your account depending on the severity of the breach to our terms of use.
If your account is suspended or blocked, we still have the right to use and share your content and feedback. Other users also have the right to use or share your content.

4.2 Report Violations of other users
Make you of report job post or freelancer if you have evidence of someone breaking our rules.

4.3 Dispute Resolution
Log any dispute encountered between you and another user during the cause of a completed or on-going job. Our Team will investigate and share appropriate feedback.

5. Definitions

Partner is anyone who renders or provides business service or solutions to Tafid.
An employer is someone using our site to find freelancer services
A freelancer is an individual or agency using our site to offer their services by sending proposals employers.
Job post refer to the work freelancers do on Tafid
A proposal is information provided to bid for a job. It showcases your experience on the job requirements.
Tafid mobile applications mean our android, apple app and web app.
Content is everything posted on Tafid by users e.g., their profile, feedback, proposals, job posts.


Refund Policy

Notice to Employers Account Users

Tafid has put a lot of systems in place to ensure that disputes are resolved amicably when they occur. We hope that disputes do not occur but when they do occur kindly follow through right process in resolving them.

Here are some important information and steps to note:

  • Freelancers will only be paid after you confirm satisfactory job completed.
  • You are expected to be certain before you confirm a job.
  • Payment is immediately transferred to Freelancer Tafid account once you confirm a job as completed.

A dispute on completed jobs must be logged not longer than 48hours after job has been completed. All disputes logged after 48 hours will not be attended to. This is binding.

To log a dispute, go to your profile to release a drop-down menu and click on dispute 

Privacy Policy

We advise that this is used as a last option if every other option of resolving the issue with a Freelancer is unsuccessful.

Our dispute resolution team will carry-out an investigation to verify the claims and evidence presented by the parties involved.

Note that false claims to delay Freelancer payment after successful job completion is against our Terms of Use and will be treated as a violation of it.


During a dispute resolution process, you are expected to provide quick response to dispute team within 48hrs. Delayed response will lead to automatic closure of dispute and payment of Freelancer. This is irrevocable and legally binding.

Note that the dispute resolution verdict is final and irrevocable. This is legally binding.

When a resolution is made in your favour a refund will be credited to your registered billing account within 48hrs (Note payment is not made during weekends and public holidays)

Notice to Freelancer Account Users

Your upmost sincerity and delivery of quality service is expected to enjoy continued use of our Tafid platform.

The following will occur when a dispute is logged against you by an employer or job owner before your job is approved for payment:

  • Your payments will be suspended till investigation is completed.
  • You are expected to respond to dispute queries within 48hours of notice.
  • Failure to respond will be viewed as purposeful abandonment of project and dispute will be closed in favour of the party who filed the dispute against you. Note that this is irrevocable and legally binding.

When a dispute is logged against you after you have been paid.

  • If the resolution is not in your favour, all your future payment be suspended by Tafid until final resolution is made.
  • If final resolution is in your favour, a refund will be made to the filing party.

Privacy Policy

Note that dispute can only be filed no longer that 30days of occurrence or job completion or abandonment.

All disputes will be reviewed against our Terms of Use and all violations will be treated accordingly.
